
Thomas Patton, MD
Thomas Patton practices general neurology at Alabama Neurology and Sleep Medicine. He completed his bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from Birmingham Southern College and earned his MD from the University of Alabama, Birmingham. He completed his intern year and neurology residency at Vanderbilt University, where he was chief neurology resident in his final year. Dr. Patton is always looking to support community programs that benefit his patients. He continues to be involved with Caring Days (day program for dementia patients), and most recently, he was instrumental in bringing the Rock Steady Boxing program to Tuscaloosa to benefit patients with Parkinson’s disease. Dr. Patton and his wife live in Tuscaloosa, Alabama with their two sons. In addition to practicing medicine, he enjoys spending time engaging in most any outdoor activity including running, hiking, and fishing. He is active in the community including at First Presbyterian Church.
